Today is officially the first day of Fall! ? The temps have slowly been cooling down and I’m so ready for this change in the seasons. Bring on all the football, sweaters, pumpkins, and colorful leaves! It’s been a very busy summer in the Real Estate world, so not much decorating has been happening around here. I’m embarrassed to admit how long some of my Easter decor stayed out. ? But now I’m excited to share my fall decor with you and I hope you get some inspiration for how to decorate your own spaces.
Let’s start in the living room. It’s the first room you see when you walk in our front door and I typically start and end my day here, so I want it to feel cozy and inviting. I used the same rust colored pillows from last year and added these neutral pillow covers from Amazon for a softer look. I really love the look of amber glass, so you will see a lot of that in my home. These larger vases behind the couch came from Hobby Lobby along with the stems in them.
I love how this table next to the front door turned out. Simple and neutral, but still “festive”.
Real talk: I just lit these candles for the photo. ? Don’t worry, I’m not trying to set the pampas grass on fire! Also, a tip for keeping pampas grass from shedding everywhere is to spray it with hair spray. I did this and have not seen one piece fall off. Thanks to the girl working at Kirklands when I bought this for that tip!
PS, I have straightened that mirror up since this photo was taken. ??♀️
I always create some type of vignette on my tables usually anchored by a tray or basket. When in doubt, use sets of 3 items at different heights. It works every time!
Over the last few years I have collected some different amber glass pieces. I love how this came together under our TV. Some may think it’s too symmetrical, but my OCD brain really likes it!
Ok, now on to the kitchen. I was most excited to decorate my coffee bar and it’s a focal point in the kitchen. I got it around Christmas time last year, so this was the first time decorating it for fall. This copper sign from Hobby Lobby is a new find and I think it fit in perfectly with the theme. These shelves are so fun to decorate each season!
I didn’t put too much on my counters to keep it from looking cluttered. I like having plenty of open counter space. Here are a few spots where I added some fall touches.
Thank you so much for being here! I hope you found this helpful and got some inspiration to decorate your own home for the upcoming season. I’ll be sharing my Christmas decor in November, so subscribe to be notified when that happens! Happy decorating!
